At Switch2BG, legal support is a central part of what we do. We assist foreign entrepreneurs, companies and individuals with Bulgarian legal and administrative matters, from corporate and commercial issues to contracts, regulatory requirements and ongoing business support.

Frequently Asked Questions About Switch2BG

We collected some of the most frequent questions from exchanges with our partners, how to simplify your transition to Bulgaria.

? No. Our services can generally be provided remotely through a power of attorney granted to Switch2BG. This allows us to handle a wide range of administrative and legal matters on your behalf without requiring you to be physically present in Bulgaria. For certain specific actions, an additional explicit authorisation may be required. These cases are relatively uncommon, as our general powers of attorney are designed to cover as many representative actions and scenarios as possible.

For businesses and individuals subject to these obligations, VAT returns are generally submitted by the 14th day of the following month. Social security information is generally declared by the 25th day of the following month for the month to which the declared information relates. The applicable reporting obligations can vary depending on your business structure, registration status and specific circumstances.

In many cases, yes. A number of administrative and business matters can be managed remotely, although some procedures may still require documents, signatures, notarisation or physical presence.

Changes in your business activity, ownership, management or other company details may require additional registrations, filings or legal documentation. We can assist with the relevant corporate changes and help you understand the legal and administrative steps involved.

Our preferred method of communication is email. This allows us to keep a clear record of requests, instructions and completed tasks and makes it easier to track the progress of ongoing matters. We are also available for online consultations when a matter is better discussed verbally or requires a more detailed conversation.
